When I was a child I always cried when my plate was (already) half-empty, even if there would still be plenty of food left on the table: Indeed I grew up with 3 sisters and my mother was never stingy with portions.
I like to tell this story to illustrate how I love to eat. I may have learnt not to cry anymore, but I still get a little sad when my plate starts to empty. And I guess it explains why as a proper French food lover I care so much about getting involved in food preparation: just to make sure that everyone will enjoy and get enough!
